Atlas Mobile Experience

2025   |   UX, product flows, mobile experience

I designed the mobile experience for Atlas - an AI assistant that helps users create an avatar through natural conversation. As part of the Wix Legends platform, this phase introduced a shift toward a more conversational, AI-driven creation flow. One of the main challenges was designing a mobile-first experience that could accommodate continuous dialogue, avatar creation, and evolving user information within the limited space of a mobile screen, while keeping the experience clear, lightweight, and engaging.

The onboarding starts with Atlas as the only visible element on screen. She introduces herself and immediately begins a natural conversation with the user. As the dialogue progresses, Atlas asks simple, personal questions, such as the user’s name and background, gradually building the user’s profile in the background. Over time, this process forms a “digital twin” that reflects the user’s identity and input.

Design Approach

I explored conversational AI products, agent-based experiences, and mobile onboarding patterns to understand how other products balance guidance, content, and user input.

Based on these insights, I designed a conversation-driven experience where Atlas remains present throughout the journey, guiding users as they gradually build their avatar through natural dialogue.

A key focus was finding the right balance between Atlas, the evolving avatar, and the information being collected, while keeping the experience clear and lightweight on mobile.

Once enough information has been collected, users can start a live conversation with their digital twin. This allows them to evaluate how closely the avatar reflects their personality and knowledge, identify gaps, and continue refining it over time.

Users can choose how they interact with their digital twin, whether through chat, voice, or video.
